Elizabeth (McCammon) Emmons

Elizabeth J. “Libby” Emmons, 73, of Sullivan, IN passed away January 29, 2026, at the Majestic Care of Deming in Terre Haute, IN.  

            She was born in Sullivan, Indiana July 9, 1952, the daughter of Walter McCammon and Martha (Kable) McCammon.

            Libby attended Carlisle Elementary-JR High and then Sullivan High School where she graduated in the class of 1970. She worked at the Sullivan Daily Times, Sullivan Elementary School and part time at the Pro Shop at the Sullivan Elks golf course, until retirement. She was the first SHS girls’ golf team coach.

            She enjoyed her family and friends, playing golf, concerts and IU basketball.

            She also attended Crossroads Community Church in Sullivan, IN.

            Preceding her in death were her parents.

            Survivors include 2 sons; Clint Hoesman (Jamie) of Terre Haute, IN. and Curt Hoesman (Elizabeth), of West Terre Haute, IN 4 grandchildren; Darian Ladd (Dakota), Chase Hoesman (Rachel) , Whitley Hoesman and Garreth Hoesman, one great grandchild, Easton Hoesman, a brother, Bob McCammon (Susan) of Sullivan, IN.

            Funeral service will be held at 1:00PM Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Brust Funeral Home in Sullivan, IN with Rev. David Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until services at 1:00PM Tuesday at the Funeral Home.
